Luperox 270M60 is a peroxyester commonly used for polymerizing ethylene to make LDPE or for the solution polymerization of acrylic monomers. Luperox 270M60 is suitable for ethylene polymerization in the temperature range of 190°C to 250°C. As an alternative to tert-butyl peroxybenzoate, Luperox 270M60 is non-aromatic and provides similar reactivity without producing benzene upon decomposition. This also applies to the polymerization of acrylics, where the polymerization temperature is typically 130°C to 135°C.
