Applications
Luperox 270 HP polymer initiator is a peroxyester commonly used for polymerizing ethylene to make LDPE or for the solution polymerization of acrylic monomers. It can also be used for the bulk and suspension polymerization of styrene. Luperox 270 HP is suitable for ethylene polymerization in the temperature range of 190°C to 250°C. As an alternative to tert-butyl peroxybenzoate, Luperox 270 HP is non-aromatic and provides similar reactivity without producing benzene upon decomposition. This also applies to the polymerization of acrylics, where the polymerization temperature is typically 130°C to 135°C.
