LUPEROX DH
3,5-Diisopropylbenzene hydroperoxide
The Arkema Changshu site is one of the Arkema Group's largest industrial platforms worldwide, covering an area of approximately 430,000 square meters. It employs 860 people and includes multiple plants, such as facilities for producing fluorochemicals, organic peroxides, and specialty polyamides. In addition, there is an R&D center and a regional financial shared services center to support further innovation and development.

Applications
Luperox DH can generate free radicals through heating or activators. It is a suitable initiator for bulk, solution, and emulsion polymerization. It can be used for the (co)polymerization of acrylonitrile, styrene, and methacrylates. Since its decomposition can be initiated by an electron transfer process, it is mainly used for the redox-initiated copolymerization of styrene and butadiene emulsions at low temperatures (0°C to 7°C, cold rubber process). Luperox DH can also be used for the curing of unsaturated polyesters.
