Used as a free-radical donor for the cross-linking of high polymers (such as silicone rubber, EPDM, polyethylene, etc.) and for the degradation of polypropylene. It is a raw material for synthetic fragrances and flavors, and an initiator for polymerization reactions (polyacrylates).
