Luperox 331MO50 polymer initiator is a peroxyketal organic peroxide used for the polymerization of styrenic polymers or the curing of unsaturated polyester resins (UPR). When used for curing UPR, Luperox 331MO50 provides higher reactivity (shorter cycle times) and a longer pot life than tert-butyl peroxybenzoate in most resin systems. Luperox 331MO50 can be mixed with tert-butyl peroctoate to provide faster cure cycles. The diradicals generated by Luperox 331MO50 will produce higher molecular weight styrenic polymers, leading to improved physical properties.
