Used as a vulcanizing agent for silicone rubber, polyurethane rubber, EPDM rubber, and other rubbers; also used as a cross-linking agent for polyethylene and a hardener for unsaturated polyesters. This product does not have the disadvantages of easy vaporization of di-tert-butyl peroxide and the odor produced by dicumyl peroxide. It is an effective high-temperature vulcanizing agent for vinyl silicone rubber, resulting in products with high tensile strength and hardness, as well as relatively low tensile and compression set.
